Regenerative Farm Resilience Fund
The Emergency Farm Resilience Fund provides rapid-response grants to working regenerative farms facing a sudden, unforeseen event that threatens their ability to continue operating. Grants are intended for specific, time-sensitive needs where a modest intervention can prevent significant loss of income, crops, livestock, equipment, or land access.
We fund
Unexpected equipment repairs essential to production or harvest
Emergency livestock care
Disaster-related recovery expenses
Critical infrastructure failures (irrigation pumps, refrigeration, fencing, etc.)
Utility shutoff prevention when it directly threatens farm operations
Short-term bridge funding for a documented, urgent operational crisis
We generally do not fund
Ongoing operating deficits
Long-term debt repayment
Chronic cash-flow problems
Expansion projects
Expenses that existed prior to the emergency
Situations where the farm is no longer operationally viable
Applicants are asked to answer three questions:
What happened?
Describe the unexpected event.
Why is this urgent?
What will happen within the next 30 days if this issue is not resolved?
How will this grant change the outcome?
Explain specifically how the requested funds will allow the farm to continue operating.
We will fund grants that are:
1. Unexpected
Was the situation caused by an unforeseen event?
2. Immediate
Is action required within days or weeks?
3. Decisive
Will a grant of $1,000 materially improve the outcome?
This fund is designed to provide targeted interventions at critical moments. We seek opportunities where a modest grant can prevent disproportionate loss and help an otherwise viable farm remain in operation.
